Online workshop w/Variations of Beckett

Variations of Beckett is an artistic research hub researching the work of Samuel Beckett based in Oslo, Norway. We have been working as a group for over a year, and have explored many different entries to Beckett’s work. We are specifically interested in infusing our own practices into the collective explorations, and have developed a method of using variations.

We invite artists from all fields to be part of our online workshop on the 2nd and 3rd of May from 1pm – 2pm (Oslo/Paris time). Together we will explore Beckett through movement, text, voice and objects. It is going to be hands on practical tasks rather than discussing Beckett for this specific event. The members of the group will each share an exercise lasting about 20-30min each.

The group consists of: Sophie Barth (director, performing artist and founder), David Tann (actor), Mari Pitkänen (actress), Ermioni Garramone (architect and scenographer), and Claudia Lucacel (director, filmmaker, actress). More about the group can be found here: https://variationsofbeckett.net/artistic-research-team-2020/
